The International Academy of The Belt and Road was established in Hong Kong in early 2016 as the city’s first research institution dedicated to the Belt and Road Initiative. Bringing together experts and scholars from different countries and regions, the Institute conducts research and exchanges on legal, economic and trade, and international cooperation issues related to the Belt and Road Initiative, with a particular focus on promoting the development of legal rules for cross-border trade and investment and dispute resolution mechanisms.
