Xiamen, June 12, 2025 - The Maritime Silk Road Arbitration Legal Forum themed “Legal Risk Prevention and Dispute Resolution for Trade and Investment in Russia and Central Asia” was successfully held in Xiamen. The event was jointly organized by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) Fujian Sub-commission and other agencies, with the support from the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) (Xiamen) Representative Office. Mr. Wu Shaoying, Senior Consultant of ICDPASO (Xiamen) Representative Office was invited to attend and delivered a speech.
Focusing on the unique characteristic of the Russian legal system, participants engaged in an in-depth discussion about the key role of international arbitration in mitigating trade and investment risks within Russia and Central Asia. The dialogue centered on the potential legal challenges that may arise from China-Russia economic and commercial cooperation, as well as the analysis of the fundamental advantages of international arbitration and its practical value.
