Fuzhou &Xiamen, June 26-27, 2025 - A delegation led by Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), conducted research on preventing and settling commercial disputes to serve the Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District (MSRCLD), and promoting the integrated development of law and commerce, in Fuzhou and Xiamen. Additionally, Mr. WU Shaoying, Senior Consultant of ICDPASO (Xiamen) Representative Office, participated in the visits and research in Xiamen.
During the meeting with Xiamen International Commercial Tribunal, Mr. ZHAI Weikun, president of Xiamen International Commercial Tribunal, and Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of ICDPASO had in-depth exchanges on the optimization of the working mechanism for litigation-mediation and litigation-arbitration, confirmation of judicial procedures , expert resources sharing and other topics.

During the visit to the School of Law at Xiamen University, Ms. HE Lixin, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the School of Law at Xiamen University, introduced the disciplinary advantages of the School of Law, as well as the research directions of key projects in disciplinary areas. The two sides had an in-depth dialogue on aspects including the collaborative cultivation of foreign-related legal talents, innovative construction of international trade guidelines and the organization of academic activities.


Additionally, Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of ICDPASO visited other institutions, such as the Xiamen Financial and Judicial Synergy Center, the Public Legal Service Center of MSRCLD, the Xiamen Foreign-related Maritime Tribunal. This research represents an important initiative for ICDPASO to promote the work in Xiamen, and reach a variety of synergistic intentions with various cooperative partners in the fields of innovative rule research, talents cultivation, cases reception and other areas. After that, Mr. Jason CHIA went to Fuzhou and had in-depth exchanges with the relevant departments of Fujian Province on issues related to ICDPASO's further support for the construction of MSRCLD.
