Hongkong, June 13, 2025 - A delegation led by Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), visited the Department of Justice (DoJ) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) during their visit to HKSAR. Mr. Jason CHIA had in-depth exchanges with Ms. Leona Cheung, Principal Government Counsel in Legal Enhancement and Development Office of DoJ, and other officials on the construction of International Dispute Resolution Centre and the diversification of international commercial legal affairs, reaching consensuses on multiple issues.
During the meeting, both sides pointed out the necessity of leveraging HKSAR's unique geographical advantages in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and jointly promoted the synergistic development of international dispute prevention and resolution from various dimensions. The cooperation will cover the collaboration on dispute prevention mechanisms, the global promotion of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and the exchanges and training of young legal talents.
This exchangehas significantly strengthened mutual trust and understanding between the ICDPASO and the DoJ, and laid a solid foundation for the cooperation in the field of international dispute prevention.
