May 30, 2025 – China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) has successfully held the Forum on Cultivating Foreign-Related Legal Talents and Inauguration Ceremony for the School for the Foreign-Related Rule of Law . Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), was invited to attend this event and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

ICDPASO Secretary General Jason CHIA, warmly congratulated the successful holding of the forum and the establishment of the School for the Foreign-Related Rule of Law of CUPL. In combination with the functional positioning of the integration of law and business in international organizations and the professional needs of legal talent cultivation in international organizations, he suggested that foreign rule of law talents should adhere to multilateralism and cultivate a global perspective; Strengthen practical orientation and enhance practical skills; Deepen professional skills and enhance the innovation of rules. ICDPASO is looking forward to deepening cooperation with universities, experts and scholars to build a synergistic mechanism of “three-in-one”- talent cultivation, think-tank construction and professional training, so as to jointly promote the research and practice of foreign-related rule of law.
Afterwards, Secretary General Jason CHIA together with, MA Huaide, President of CUPL, YI Xianliang, Former Director-General of the Department of Boundary and Ocean Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former Chinese Ambassador to Norway and Sri Lanka, LI Ming, Executive Vice President of the Chinese Society of International Law, JIANG Lili, the Secretary-General and Committee Member of the Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center, and LIU Yanhong, Vice President of CUPL jointly inaugurated the School for the Foreign-Related Rule of Law of CUPL.
