Beijing Institute of Technology Promotion Meeting for High-Quality Development of Foreign-related Legal Talent Training Base (Cultivation) and Seminar on Model and Path for Cultivating Foreign-related Legal Talent, was successfully held in Beijing on May 18, 2024. Ms. SHEN Peilan, the Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) was invited to attend the event and deliver an opening speech.
Ms. SHEN Peilan stated that the cultivation of foreign-related legal talent is not only a need to provide high-quality foreign-related legal services, but also a necessary guarantee for the construction of the international rule of law and participation in global governance. ICDPAS will continue to work with the Beijing Institute of Technology and other partner universities to promote the construction of the Collaborative Cultivation and Innovation Base for Foreign-related Legal Talent, on the basis of which will continue to share resources with all parties and cooperate closely, so as to jointly cultivate practice-oriented, versatile, and international legal talents, helping build international rule of law and contributing to the promotion of the development of the global governance system in a more just and reasonable direction.
In 2023, China’s Ministry of Education issued the Circular on the Construction of Innovative Bases for the Collaborative Training of Foreign-Related Legal Talents, encouraging universities to cooperate with foreign-related legal practice departments and international organizations to jointly cultivate high qualified foreign-related legal talents. ICDPASO's cooperation projects with the Beijing Institute of Technology, China University of Political Science and Law and other universities were selected in the list of Foreign-related Legal Talent Training Base (Cultivation)" by China’s Ministry of Education. In the future, ICDPASO will continue to cooperate with universities, give full play to their respective resource advantages, jointly cultivate high level international legal talents, and promote the high-quality development of the training base.
