Xiamen, September 10, 2025 - The “School of Law at Xiamen University (XMU School of Law) visited the Xiamen Representative Office” Open Day event, hosted by the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) (Xiamen) Representative Office, was successfully held. With the theme of “Exploring ICDPASO, Expanding Global Horizons”, the event was attended by Mr. ZHANG Yubin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the XMU School of Law, Mr. SHUI Yongsheng, the Deputy Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the XMU School of Law, and more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Mr. WU Shaoying, Senior Consultant of Xiamen Representative Office, gave an in-depth introduction to ICDPASO’s core concepts and one-stop dispute resolution services, focusing on ICDPASO’s key role in international commercial dispute rule-making, dispute prevention, commercial mediation and arbitration. Through several cases, he demonstrated how ICDPASO provides innovative solutions to global business challenges and helps relevant parties resolve complex international commercial disputes. He encouraged students to actively engaged in the practices of international organizations, strengthen their legal expertise in cross-cultural communication, and prepare themselves to meet the challenges of globalization.
During the interactive session, two interns shared their internship experiences, showcasing the workflows and scenarios of international organizations. This stimulated students’ strong interest in international law.
In the concluding remark, Mr. ZHANG Yubin stated that this visit provided students with a cross-cultural communication platform, helping them broaden their international perspective. He encouraged the students to continue following ICDPASO’s activities to further enhance their professional abilities and lay a solid foundation for their future legal careers.
