Beijing October 13, 2026, a delegation led by Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), held a meeting with the World Data Organization (WDO) secretariat. WDO Deputy Secretary-General WANG Hengjiang and relevant department directors attended the meeting.
Both sides introduced their respective organizations, including their mandates, roles, and areas of work, and exchanged views on artificial intelligence, data governance, cross-border data flows, international rulemaking, and dispute prevention and resolution. The two sides explored the possibility of leveraging their respective platforms, expertise, and resources to explore the establishment of a regular cooperation mechanism for dispute prevention and resolution in the fields of data and artificial intelligence, strengthen expert resource sharing and cooperation on international standards, and support enterprises in these sectors in their international operations and overseas expansion.
Both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening communication and coordination. They will continue discussions on expert recommendations, dispute resolution mechanisms, international standards research, and cooperation in international events, with a view to advancing practical cooperation and jointly enhancing dispute prevention and resolution services for the artificial intelligence and data industries.
