Beijing, September, 2026 - The Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCI Uzbekistan) held an online bilateral cooperation meeting. Relevant representatives from the ICDPASO Secretariat, CCI Uzbekistan, the Tashkent International Arbitration Centre (TIAC) and the Department of Legal Affairs of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) attended the meeting and exchanged views. The Uzbek side was represented by Mr. Shaykhov Alisher Erkinovich, Advisor to the Chairman of CCI Uzbekistan; Ms. Diana Bayzakova, Director of TIAC and Ms. Malika Pulatova, Members of the TIAC Secretariat.
At the meeting, Director YANG Zhaoying introduced the background and core functions of the bilateral commercial legal cooperation mechanism and outlined cooperation directions including establishing a regular legal information exchange mechanism, deepening cooperation among experts and in dispute resolution, and collecting and addressing enterprises’ concerns through multiple channels. She also briefed the participants on ICDPASO and the preparations for the 2026 International Conference on Commercial Dispute Resolution (Xinjiang), and sincerely invited the Uzbek side to attend the conference and deliver speeches.
Mr. Shaykhov Alisher Erkinovich, Advisor to the Chairman of CCI Uzbekistan, introduced the Chamber’s recent work priorities and the needs of its member enterprises for legal compliance and protection of their lawful rights and interests in China. Ms. Diana Bayzakova, Director of TIAC introduced the Centre’s business development. The Uzbek side responded positively to the proposed cooperation directions and expressed the willingness to deepen practical exchanges and jointly serve enterprises in both countries.
The participants exchanged views on cooperation intentions and follow-up arrangements. The parties stated that they would maintain working-level communication and advance cooperation in light of practical needs.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan is Uzbekistan’s national chamber organization established under the country’s Law on the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Headquartered in Tashkent, it has regional branches nationwide and operates the International Commercial Arbitration Court. The Tashkent International Arbitration Centre is an international commercial arbitration institution under the Chamber.
