Shanghai, May 21, 2026 - the “Rule of Law as a Guide, Connecting the World: Launch Event for the Foreign-Related Legal Services Ecosystem of the Eastern Hub” was successfully held. Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO), was invited to attend the event and delivered a thematic presentation.
Under the theme of “One-Stop Dispute Prevention And Resolution From The Perspective Of International Organizations”, Secretary-General Jason CHIA, in light of the opportunities and challenges facing the development of the international legal ecosystem amid the evolving international landscape, and from the perspective of constructive strategic stability among major countries, provided an in-depth analysis of the key dimensions in the development of the current mainstream international legal ecosystem. He noted that improving mechanisms for the prevention and settlement of commercial disputes is an important component of building the international legal ecosystem. ICDPASO will continue to leverage its strengths as a professional platform, promote the effective integration of diversified dispute governance approach such as dispute prevention, mediation, and arbitration, provide full-chain rule-of-law safeguards for enterprises’ cross-border investment and trade, support Pudong New Area’s high-level opening-up, and foster a stable, fair, and predictable legal environment.
The event was attended by international organizations such as the International Organization for Mediation (IOMed) and ICDPASO, government institutions such as the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice, the Justice Bureau of Pudong New District, and the Free Trade Zone Administration (Shanghai Eastern Hub International Business Cooperation Zone Administration), as well as representatives from numerous law firms and businesses.
