May 20, 2026, Xiamen - The Maritime Silk Road Supply Chain Legal Service Matching Meeting themed “Expand Overseas Safely with Sinosure” was successfully held in Xiamen. Centering on enterprises’ demands for credit risk prevention, legal compliance and dispute settlement in international trade, the event attracted over 60 participants from foreign trade enterprises, supply chain firms, legal service providers and chambers of commerce and associations.
During the sharing session, Ms. CAO Xiaowen, a representative of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) (Xiamen) Representative Office, elaborated on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and the core functions of ICDPASO. With typical cases, she illustrated the one-stop dispute prevention and resolution service mechanism featuring “prevention in advance, mediation preferred and arbitration as guarantee”. She indicated that mediation and arbitration boast outstanding strengths including confidentiality, flexibility and cross-border enforceability compared to traditional litigation, and can better sustain long-term business partnership.
Mr. ZHANG Jiahao, an underwriter from China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (Sinosure), analyzed the country-specific risks in China’s footwear and apparel exports. Mr. YU Yubin, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Xiamen Federation of Modern Supply-chain , delivered a systematic interpretation on compliance and legal risk prevention for enterprises “going global”.
The event was guided by the Leadership Group for the Development of Xiamen Maritime Silk Road Central Legal District (MSRCLD), Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Justice, Xiamen Federation of Industry and Commerce and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Xiamen Sub-Council. It was co-hosted by the Secretariat of MSRCLD and Xiamen Modern Supply Chain Federation, undertaken by ICDPASO (Xiamen) Representative Office, Maritime Silk Road International Supply Chain Legal Service Center, and Sinosure Xiamen Branch, and co-organized by Siming District Bureau of Commerce, Xiamen Foreign Investment Enterprises Association and other institutions.
