Beijing, May 15, 2026 - delegation led by YANG Dong, Deputy Party Secretary and Dean of the School of Law at Renmin University of China, visited the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO).
Dean YANG Dong outlined the progress made by the School of Law at Renmin University of China in cultivating talent for foreign-related legal affairs and in theoretical research on the prevention and resolution of international commercial disputes. He expressed hope that both parties could engage in practical cooperation in areas such as cutting-edge research, international academic exchanges, joint training of practitioners, and case studies on cross-border dispute resolution. Secretary-General Jason CHIA introduced ICDPASO’s operational structure, member cooperation network, and one-stop commercial legal service system.
Moving forward, the two parties will leverage the School of Law at Renmin University of China’s deep roots in legal research and ICDPASO’s strengths as a platform for international dispute prevention and resolution to deepen theoretical innovation and practical coordination across the entire chain of cross-border commercial dispute prevention, mediation, and arbitration, thereby contributing to high-level opening-up and the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
