Beijing, 21 April 2026 – The exchange event themed “International Organization Empowering Private Enterprises in Global Operations and Overseas Risk Prevention”, co-hosted by the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) and the Department of International Cooperation of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), was successfully held in Beijing. More than 40 executives responsible for overseas business and legal affairs from private enterprises participated in the event. The seminar was moderated by Ms. YANG Zhaoying, Director of the General Affairs Department of ICDPASO.
In his welcome remarks, Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of ICDPASO, noted that against the backdrop of a complex and volatile global market and rising cross-border risks, ICDPASO will fully leverage its strengths as an international organization to provide a full-chain commercial legal service system covering dispute prevention, commercial mediation, and commercial arbitration. Such services will help enterprises establish robust legal protection and achieve steady and sustainable development.
Ms. GE Min, Director of the Department of International Cooperation of ACFIC, stated that ACFIC will work closely with ICDPASO to help private enterprises strengthen cross-border compliance and risk response capacity, and better support their high-quality international development.
Mr. ZHONG Yuan, Director of Case Management of ICDPASO, provided a detailed introduction to ICDPASO’s one-stop dispute prevention and settlement service system. Mr. LI Zhiyong, General Counsel of CSCEC International Construction Co., Ltd., and Ms. QIU Ximei, Senior Partner of Matrix LLP, delivered presentations on overseas business risk prevention, cross-border dispute resolution, and investment practices in Africa. Enterprise representatives held in-depth exchanges with experts on cross-border compliance, dispute prevention and other key topics.
As the Private Sector Promotion Law approaches the first anniversary of implementation, this event responded to private enterprises’ demands for international development, built a practical and efficient platform for exchange on cross-border risk prevention, offered legal support and practical guidance for private enterprises “going global”, and contributed to the high-level opening-up of the private economy.
