ICDPASO Secretariat Held OnlineMeeting with the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) to Advance Bilateral Cooperation and Strengthen Legal Services Liaison

Beijing, January 30, 2026 - The Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) held an online meeting with the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) to promote bilateral cooperation and strengthen liaison in legal services. Dato’ Quek Ngee Meng, Director of MCBC, Mr. Georgie Too, Chief Operating Officer of MCBC and Ms. Yuxun Choong, PR Executive of MCBCattended the meeting and engaged in exchanges.


During the meeting, Secretary-General Mr. Jason CHIA introduced the latest progress of ICDPASO in areas such as brand events and expert pool development. The representatives from MCBC expressed high appreciation for the advancements made by ICDPASO. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation in jointly organizing international events and cultivating legal professionals. They unanimously agreed to strengthen practical cooperation in the future, providing higher-quality services and safeguards for cross-border economic and trade exchanges as well as legal cooperation between China and Malaysia, and working to jointly foster a fair, nondiscriminatory, transparent and predictable international business environment.


MCBC aims to strengthen the close relationship between Malaysia and China by promoting better understanding and closer coordination among enterprises and individuals for the overall benefit of the business communities of both nations. MCBC provides business information and helps to explore trade & investment opportunities at the same time, helps Chinese investors to understand Malaysia’s conducive business and investment potentials in a better form.
