Shenzhen, 13-14 November 2025 - With the 33rd APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting officially confirmed to be held in Shenzhen, a new chapter has been opened for Asia Pacific regional cooperation. All parties are gathering wisdom and strength to jointly move towards a new future of high-level international cooperation.
Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) led a delegation to Shenzhen for a thematic research visit. The delegation visited the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Municipal Committee (CCPIT Shenzhen), Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Service Bureau for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Shenzhen Municipality, and International SparkLink Wireless Short-Range Communication Alliance(SparkLink Alliance). The delegation engaged in in-depth discussions on how international organizations can assist the APEC economic cooperation mechanism in providing commercial legal services.
During their stay in Shenzhen, the ICDPASO delegation held talks with the CCPIT Shenzhen. Deputy Party Secretary and Director-General, LIAO Zibin, introduced the basic situation and main functions of CCPIT Shenzhen. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on multiple fronts, such as one-stop dispute prevention and resolution mechanism service enterprises, expand international cooperation channels through the APEC meeting platform, jointly promoting the alignment of international commercial rules and enhancing enterprise risk prevention and control capabilities.
During its research visit to Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., SUN Ao, senior legal counsel, introduced the legal department's basic situation, business scope, and organizational structure.. Both parties held extensive talks on topics including corporate legal risk prevention and control, adaptation to international regulations, and intellectual property protection. They also explored how to leverage the APEC economic cooperation mechanism to advance the international development of internet enterprises.
During ICDPASO visit to the Service Bureau for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Shenzhen Municipality. Deputy Director YANG Donghao provided a detailed overview of the development process and characteristics of the APEC SME Business Forum. The two sides exchanged views on topics such as cooperation in APEC-related activities, innovation in SME services, and compliance for enterprises going global. They will work together to support the international development of SMEs within the APEC framework.
During the communication with the SparkLink Alliance, Secretary General ZENG Guosong introduced the network of institutional members, research areas, and future development directions. Both sides focused on key areas such as international rule making and technical standard cooperation, expert talent exchange, integration of law and business, and institutional governance, and explored the feasibility of promoting international cooperation in emerging industry technology standards under the APEC meeting and the effective path to promote the deep integration of legal norms and cutting-edge technologies.
