Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in China Visited ICDPASO Secretariat

Beijing, October 10 - Mr. Ayaz Muhammad, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in China, led a delegation to visit the Secretariat of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO). Mr. Jason CHIA,Secretary-General of ICDPASO, extended a warm welcome to Mr. Ayaz Muhammad and his delegation. He provided a detailed introduction to the establishment background, core functions, and key work and achievements of ICDPASO in promoting international commercial cooperation and in advancing international commercial dispute prevention and settlement.


During the meeting, both sides conducted in-depth discussions on issues of mutual concern, such as the development of the international commercial environment and the prevention and control of risks in cross-border trade and investment. They agreed to further promote closer engagement between the Pakistani business community and ICDPASO. They reached a consensus on several key areas of cooperation, including joint case handling, recommendations of experts and new members, and the organization of thematic seminars. Both sides agreed that the meeting laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. They will work together to advance mechanisms for commercial dispute prevention and settlement, provide more professional and high-quality legal services for China-Pakistan economic and trade exchanges, and support the steady and sound growth of bilateral economic and trade relations.
